Let's tell the story of your next event through photographs. With more than 10 years experience in photo journalism, I work to capture the essence of each event, whether it's through a facial expression, a gesture or maybe an object. Ranging from conferences & board meetings to marches & grand openings, my goal is to make every event feel important and like you were there.

About

I took my first photojournalism course in 1997 at Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz, California. Between 1997 and 2014, I changed majors many times, between a few colleges. I now hold two Associate Degrees in Journalism, one in Social Science, one in Liberal Arts and Humanities, and two in Science.

During my journalism degree program at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo (SLO), California, I spent a semester as photojournalism intern, then another four years as a freelance photographer for Tolosa Press in SLO, California. They publish the SLO City News, Bay News and Coast New. I was able to learn what to look for and how to capture that moment from experience photographers. But I also used my experience in a variety of work to get the shots I saw. I got a lot of exposure to different events and shooting conditions, and I found I enjoyed
taking candid, truthful photographs that help to illustrate a story.

While at Cuesta College, I was the photo editor twice and news editor once for The Cuestonian, the Cuesta College newspaper. I took photographs for all of my stories and for many of the other student journalists. I took photographs for every section of the paper, events like press conferences, board meetings, and volleyball games. But also photographed objects like a building that was marked for demolition, police cars, and bunnies. I took portraits of students, teachers and administrators on campus.

I hope you enjoy these photographs and they demostrate to you the feelings and memories I can illustrate at your event. I look forward to chatting with you about your next event so that we can capture the right photography to support your story in a publication or one to hang on your wall.
